You can either purchase your GM Data SIM Card on this site or our sister site Guard My Farm on this link: Get your GM Data SIM

Ensure you have your SIM card and the letter it was provided in at hand. Simply click the Register Your SIM on our home page and follow the onscreen instructions.

All orders are dispatched either the same day or next working day via first class mail. Please allow for 1-3 working days for delivery.

The ICCID is your SIM identification number. You will need this to register and activate the SIM card. It is found printed on the back of the SIM card and begins with the numbers 8988303...

You should log into your account immediately and click on the 'Cancel' button and turn OFF Auto-Payments. Alternatively you can contact us via our web contact form or live web-chat and we can help.

If your data has unexpectedly run out quickly it may be that the settings on your device are incorrectly set for the purpose you are using your device. For example a 4G camera used for monitoring livestock may be set for security rather than monitoring, and then with every movement of the animal the camera is activated sending a notification which uses data.

Please check the settings on your device are correct.

If you are using a Guard My Farm camera. This topic is covered in depth on the Guard My Farm FAQ page or on this video.

02. Data Boosts

Data boosts are only available to purchase if you are on the highest data plan and you have used the maximum quote of 'Auto-Top Ups', therefore your are unable to upgrade or top up, but you still need more data to get you to the end of the month.

You can then buy a Data Boost which will give you another 1GB of data to use until you are next billed for your data plan. If you need more, simply buy another one.

Each data boost you purchase will last until your current month’s billing date.

If your data boost is running out, simply purchase another one to get you through to your billing date. We continually monitor our customer’s data usage and we will introduce bigger data plans if customers require multiple data boosts.

03. Pre-Sales

Yes, currently our SIMs will roam and find the strongest network available in most locations around the world.

When you purchase your SIM data plan, you will set up a GM Data Sims account. Simply log in to see your dashboard where you can see your usage, manage notifications/reminders, upgrades, downgrades, invoices and more.

We are a small UK company with UK based support available via Web Chat or email via our Contact Form. We also offer call back telephone support via our Contact Form requests.

No, these SIMs are data only, designed for security cameras, trackers, 4g entry systems etc. You will not be able to make calls or send SMS texts with our SIMs.

All our SIMs  scan all 4 major UK networks (EE, O2, Voda and Three) and automatically connect to the strongest signal available at no extra cost, giving  the best possible coverage wherever you are. Our SIMs can also be used overseas and will scan for the strongest available network in the county you are in without impacting the cost of your plan.

Simply choose the data plan based on your estimated data usage. Once purchased your SIM and secure activation instructions will be sent to you by post with instructions also sent via email.

There are no contracts or tie-ins with our SIM plans. You simply choose your monthly data plan and pay for the upcoming 30 days. You can upgrade any time, downgrade for next month or cancel any time. When your SIM is first registered/activated, we allow you to use your chosen data allowance until the end of the next calendar month. We then charge your payment method in advance for each upcoming month a few days before the new the new month begins.

We will notify you by email when your data is getting low, recommending you to visit your account area to consider upgrading your plan.

You will only pay the difference between the plan you purchased and the cost of the upgraded plan for the current month.

If you feel an upgrade is not worth it (for example if there is only a short time to the end of the month), or if you miss our notifications, we have an 'Auto Top Up' facility.

Auto-Top Ups

*Customers who registered their SIM from 10/8/2026 need to ensure 'Auto Payments' are turned ON to ensure that an Auto Top-Up is carried out (payment is taken and 1GB of additional data is automatically allocated to the SIM).

*Customers who registered their SIM before 10/8/2026 need to ensure they have turned ON 'Auto Top-Ups' within their dashboard to use this facility.

If there is no higher plan available and all 'Auto Top Ups' have been used in a single month (maximum of 5), you can purchase a ‘Data Boost’ in 1GB units which can only be used until the end of the current calendar month.

You pre-purchase the data plan you think you need for each calendar month.

When your SIM is first registered/activated, we allow you to use your chosen data plan allowance until the end of the next calendar month.

We then charge your payment method in advance for each upcoming month on our billing day (1st day of the calendar month) of the value of whatever Data Plan your SIM is set to. For example if you upgrade during the month (we charge you the difference of your current plan you have already paid for and the new plan), we will charge you for the upgraded plan on the next billing day. You can downgrade between then to renew on the lower plan if you wish.

If you’re not sure how much data you will use, purchase a 1GB plan. If you are running out of data within the term, simply upgrade to the next plan E.g. 3GB. Don’t worry though, when you upgrade, we’ll only charge you for the difference between the 1GB and 3GB plan.

04. Upgrades

We will notify you by email when your data is getting low. You can also check in your account area.

Log in to your account where you can upgrade to a higher data plan for the remainder of the month.

You will only pay the difference between what you paid for your current  plan and the cost of the upgraded plan for the current month.

If there is no higher plan available, you can purchase a ‘Data Boost’ in 1GB units which can only be used until the end of the current calendar month.

For simplicity, you can change your setting allowing us to take ‘auto-payments’ to upgrade your account accordingly so you never lose connection.

05. Downgrades

If you feel you are using very little data, you may want to downgrade your plan for the next month.

Simply log in to your account area where you can find how to downgrade your plan.

Please note, downgrades will only take effect on the next billing date, for the next calendar month.

06. Cancelation

Simply log into your account area. Once there, select the SIM you wish to cancel (choose the ICCID from the drop down box) and then tap the 'Cancel' button. You SIM will remain live until the next billing date after which it will become 'disabled'.

If you just want a break, no problem, simply log back into your account area and tap 'Restore' and payment will be taken for the current period and your SIM will go live again within 30 minutes.

07. Billing

As there is no contract, data is pre-purchased for the upcoming calendar month a few days before the start of the new calendar month. Billing occurs every month on the stipulated date.

As we bill in advance for each calendar month, we offer all our customers an extended period for every newly registered SIM card, allowing you to use your data until the end of the next calendar month following registration (billing day of the next calendar month). This helps customers who register later in the month have a reasonable time to use their data and assess which package is right for them.

For SIMs registered before 10/8/2026 there is an option to Turn ON Auto Top-Ups.

For SIMs registered from 10/8/2026 Auto Top Ups will be turned ON by default if Auto-Payments are turned ON.

Auto Top-Ups are designed to keep your device online and prevent interruption to service.

If you are approaching your data usage allowance, we will notify you by email to recommend you consider the following:

1. Upgrade your plan: We simply charge the difference of the current plan you have paid for and the value of the higher plan. You will then receive the additional data of the higher plan.

2. Auto Top-Up: If you do not want to upgrade (for example if you only need an extra 1GB data to get you to the next billing day), then we will automatically charge you for 1GB data to use as an addition to your current plan.

3. Turn OFF Auto Payments: If you don't want automatic charges and want to pay manually, you can visit your account dashboard and ensure Auto Payments are turned OFF.

Auto Top-Ups are great if you miss low data notifications or feel an upgrade is unecessary, giving you the peace of mind that your device will not lose service.

Payment is taken when a SIM card is purchased off our website at the advertised price for the data plan chosen.

Following registration of the SIM on our web portal, the SIM is live and good to use in your device.

We will ask for payment every time a new month’s billing data approaches, or when you have nearly used the data allowance on your chosen package.

We recommend that you turn Auto-Payments ON to ensure your Data Plan is successfully renewed on each billing day.

Upgrade?

You simply visit your account dashboard and upgrade to a higher plan which will give you more data until the end of the month. For example, if you are on a 1GB plan and are running out of data mid-month, then you would upgrade to the 3GB plan. Don’t worry though, we will only charge you the difference of the 1GB package you have already paid and the price of the higher plan. You can always downgrade again for the start of the next billing month.

Auto Top-Up?

For SIMs registered before 10/8/2026 you can visit your account dashboard and turn Auto Top-Ups ON. This will ensure your SIM data plan will not be upgraded but instead it we will take payment for a 1GB of additional data to automatically be allocated to your SIM. This can happen up to 5 times in a month, but you always have the option to upgrade or cancel if you prefer.

For SIMs registered from 10/8/2026, if you have Auto-Payments ON, Auto Top-Ups will happen automatically unless you choose to visit your account dashboard to upgrade or cancel. This ensures your device remains online.

Simply upgrade your plan when you are ready and downgrade again when you need less data. You can do this month on month from your account area. You can even pause your SIM card by selecting 'Cancel' and then when you are ready to go againg, select 'Restore'.

If you choose to downgrade mid-month, the new downgraded plan will only register from the next billing day (1st day of the next calendar month) and you will remain on your current plan until then.

Yes, we understand some customers may only require their 4G devices for certain months, E.g. cameras for lambing and calving. If you do not pay for your upcoming month, the service will stop. When you want to your SIM live again, simply go into your account area and pay for your plan and the SIM will go live again. Please note, if payment is not received for 12 months, the SIM card may become invalid and  a new SIM card will need to be purchased.

No problem. You can simply purchase a ‘Data Boost’ which will give you an additional 1GB of data to get you through to the end of your billing month. If your ‘Data Boost’ runs out, simply purchase another one.
